tree hugger

this video is a music video for tree hugger by kimya dawson.

I wanted to use a stop motion technique because it is first of all stop motion movies are quiet a challenge in aspects of timing and moves. secondly I really like to draw and the result of the combination of these two things is this cartoon. I also think, that the cartoon style fits perfectly to the music, the voice and the content of the song.

As creating picture for picture, needing at least 12 pictures per minute, it takes a while to finish the 3 minutes of this song. Especially it is a private free-time-project, and as my free time is quite narrowed, I am just at the beginning.
